The purpose of this film is to create a story that accurately depicts a typical mission in Vietnam. The goal is to give honor to Vietnam Veterans by showing their sacrifice in a film that the average person can understand and appreciate

The two directors of this project were thinking and planning for this movie as far back as 2002. Vietnam Veterans were interviewed and a story based on real events was put together. Vietnam combat equipment and gear was purchased, and then filming started in December 2003. The filming lasted almost exactly a whole year, finishing in December 2004. After filming was complete there was extensive post production work, ranging from editing to bluescreen work to composing music. It all came together on June 17, 2005, when it was shown in a local movie theater. The film has also been shown in Washington D.C. at a Vietnam Veteran convention.

"Sometimes the mission didn’t go as planned. That’s when everyone realized that the only thing keeping them alive was their weapon and the guy next to them. A Walk in the Light Green enters the mind of a combat medic embroiled in the conflict over South Vietnam, 1968. The mission: Recon enemy positions, wait for air strikes, and be extracted immediately by helicopter. The reality: Getting the squad out alive."
